Babu Noushad is a Lecturer in Optometry at the University of Buraimi, Oman, and a PhD scholar in Health Professions Education at Maastricht University. His research focuses on metacognitive monitoring, particularly how learner's monitor their own learning and the strategies that can enahnce their self-monitring accuracy.
He holds an M.Sc. in Optometry and a Master's in Health Professions Education. Noushad was awarded the Australian Leadership Awards Fellowship in 2012 to undertake training in optometry education and leadership. Alongside his teaching and research, he contributes as an Academic Quality Assurance Specialist.
His scholarly work spans health proefessions education, optometry, and cognitive sciences, with publications in leading journals focusing on teaching-learning practices, clinical optometry, public health and professional development in higher education.
